Its My Gournal

Proof beyond believable doubt.

Canidae Major

With one month left in the Piedmont, surprise is my baby tomato plants start to bear fruit. They got in the ground way too late and won’t have time to fully realize their potential. I’m trying to avoid the metaphor. As Osiris once said in more words, ’we all run on explosions’.

I remember my old friend Jon Feldman turned to me one evening at dusk,

“This is my favorite time of day. I’m going to start enjoying it more from now on.”

I took the same approach that day and from then on.  Sometimes I forget.

Yesterday was the longest day of the year and I revised my resume in the failing light.

Agreed on the need to appreciate- as the darkness falls we should not curl up in shadowed places and lie still.

And even if you’re in a different house, a different city, a different world, we all look to the same gray skies.
